Excited for iPhone OS 3.0 ? We certainly are !
Yesterday we submitted version 1.3 of the WordPress for iPhone app which includes a number of tweaks to make the app OS 3.0 compatible.
As soon as it’s live in the iTunes App store we’ll post an update.
The bigger UI changes we discussed earlier are well underway and will begin appearing soon in a future release.

That is good news for those who wants iPhone OS 3.0. I am really excited for that thing.
I am excited to hear about the plugin. One thing that I can’t seem to figure out is how to delete or refresh a blog.
Thanx for a great app.. It is extremely useful. One quesion though: I am able to create new blog categories but have found no way to attach a category to a particular blog entries. So all my blog posts are uncategorized when I blog from my iPhone..
If anybody has some tips for me, it’d be very much appreciated..
Hi! Any chance for push notifications when someone leaves a comment on my blog? Is that something that could be created just in the iPhone app or would WordPress itself need to support something like that in a special way?
Tim — we are looking at push notification and seeing how that can work with comments.
@Nemesarial ,I’m haveing the same problem since installing 3.0, it seems when running 3.0 the category section doesnt work properly. It worked fine in 2.2 etc. Im sure this update to the app that will be released soon will fix the proble

I was wondering if you were planning on adding the ability to upload video with wordpress for iphone, since the newest iphone now has video capabilities?
just curious if this is something i should wait for, or seek out a different solution?

I’m looking forward to trying out the 3.0 version as the current version appears to be mostly broken, categories in particular, after upgrading to 3.0. I did have a few thoughts/questions for future revisions/
Is support for adding links on the plate now that copy and paste makes it a possibility for iPhone bloggers?
The app has a habit of eating drafts if you get a call in the middle of writing regardless of whether or not you’ve saved recently.
Additionally, the save button has a nasty and persistent habit of disappearing entirely if you create a new category in the middle of drafting a post. The only way around this is to back out of the app entirely and then go back in and hope WordPress can recover the last document you were working on.
These all came up using the last two versions of the app with a standalone install of WordPress in versions 2.7X to 2.8.

Now that the 3GS supports video it would rock to be able to moblog those without routing them via YouTube.
how long does it take from you release a version until we get access to it at appstore?

the category section is messed up for me too. None of the categories show up. I tried creating a new category and had no luck with that either.
Currently WordPress sends out comment notifications through email already. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a good idea to add push notifications for comments.
Help! I updated to 3.0 this morning, fired up WordPress for iPhone (in which I have a huuuuuuge post still in draft), but it closes itself without letting me even access the post to upload it.
Once your newly sent update goes live in the iTunes store, will I loose this draft? And do you have any idea when the update will go live?
Glad to hear it’s been submitted to Apple. Is the source available on Trac for the version you’ve submitted? If so, what revision is it? I’m tired of waiting for Apple so thought I’d compile it myself as I’m an iPhone dev.

I get the same problem as Wendy- a half-written draft, and a WP application that crashes when I go to the Posts page.
The same thing happened with a second blog (which was working fine when the first one locked up…) my guess is that there is less free memory which is causing the problem.
Please add a search tool for each blog right it shows Post. I would much rather search the blog with app then have to leave it to use safari.
